STAGE | SOUND | LIGHT
The promoter will provide high-quality sound, lighting, and stage equipment and will cover the associated costs. The technical riders you submit will be reviewed and coordinated.
In general, riders will be fulfilled within the scope customary for festivals; any additional costs must be covered by you. We do not provide any backline equipment (cabinets, amps, keyboard stands, drum kits, etc.). If required, we are happy to connect you with a regional backline rental provider.
SOUNDCHECK, LINECHECK, CHANGEOVER
The Fire and Water Stages are operated alternately and are located in close proximity to each other. Breaks of 10 minutes are scheduled between performances. During these breaks, advertising spots from festival partners, among other content, will be played on the IMAG screens and through the PA system. Due to the proximity of the other stage, a soundcheck / PA check during changeover is generally not possible.

The specified changeover times must be adhered to in order to ensure that each artist can perform their agreed set time. Due to unforeseen circumstances, delays in the schedule may occur. Any necessary adjustments will be coordinated with stage management. The time allocated for changeovers typically corresponds to the set time of the preceding act on the other stage (between 45 and 70 minutes – see running order).
STAGE AND TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT
The working areas and the rear stage provide sufficient space for setup and preparation during ongoing performances. Large set pieces, scenic elements, and lighting equipment from headliner productions will be positioned on stage behind a day curtain - accordingly, the stage depth will be reduced. Further details can be found in the stage plans.

Detailed information on available rolling risers as well as the rigging of backdrop banners can be found in the separate festival specs for each stage.

When using backdrops and scenic elements, a valid certificate in accordance with DIN 4102 B1 or EN 13501-1, Class B, S1, d0 must be provided upon request by stage management.
LOCAL STAFF
Qualified and experienced personnel will be provided to support load-in, changeover, during the show, and load-out. The number and allocation of staff, particularly stagehands, will be determined by the festival. The coordination of crew size (call size) will be arranged in advance with stage management. Further details regarding local crew can be found in the separate festival specs for each stage.
LOCAL EQUIPMENT
A basic set of technical equipment will be provided for the technical execution of the concerts. Please note that there is no entitlement to exclusive use of the equipment provided.
A selection of standard guest multicores will be available on site. These will generally be available for shared use from the beginning of the changeover. If exclusive use of multicores is required, they can be requested - subject to availability - through local suppliers at your own expense.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Any requirements beyond the scope of the equipment provided on site must be coordinated with stage management and can be rented from local suppliers at your own expense.
Specific requirements must be communicated in good time before the start of setup—availability of the requested equipment cannot be guaranteed.
NOISE EMISSIONS
Applicable legal regulations must be complied with. A sound level of 99 dB (A-weighted, averaged over 30 minutes) at the loudest point in the audience must not be exceeded.
RADIO FREQUENCIES
Any radio systems used as part of the event must be reported to the festival’s stage or frequency management no later than four weeks prior to the event. The use of any brought-in wireless equipment can only be approved if:

-
the frequencies have a valid allocation from the Bundesnetzagentur
-
a temporary license for the frequencies has been granted by the Bundesnetzagentur (this can be applied for online in advance of the event)
-
the listed frequencies fall within a general allocation

We can provide the necessary documentation for applying for a temporary license upon request. The cost for frequency authorization is €130 for the first frequency and €50 for each additional frequency.

Please note that on-site control measurements by the Bundesnetzagentur may be carried out.
PYROTECHNICS, SFX
Any use of pyrotechnics, fire-hazardous actions, as well as laser and automation technology must be registered in advance with the relevant regulatory authority and stage management. The registration must be submitted by the guest production itself or by an authorized subcontractor. Upon request, the permit must be presented to stage management.
Applications must be submitted in writing no later than two weeks prior to the event to the following address:

To reduce waste and protect the environment, the use of confetti, glitter, streamers, and similar materials is generally not permitted. This applies in particular if the materials are not biodegradable.
BACKLINE
Backline of any kind (cabinets, amps, keyboard stands, drum kits, etc.) as well as DJ equipment (mixers, CD players, turntables, laptop stands, etc.) are generally not part of the locally provided festival setup.

If required, we are happy to provide a quote through our local backline service. A service fee of 10% of the net value will be charged for the effort involved.
Requests must be submitted in writing and can be considered up to two weeks prior to the event. Direct contact with our backline service is also possible.
